Join us for this week long camp to learn about what it takes to become a lifeguard! Campers will develop swimming skills, practice in water rescues and be introduced to first aid, CPR and AED knowledge and skills.
Attending this camp will not certify you as a lifeguard, but it will provide a solid foundation of knowledge and skills to help you prepare for the Red Cross Lifeguarding Course. After completion of camp, all participants will receive a Junior Lifeguard certificate from The Red Cross.Requirements for Eligibility:
- Age 11-14 years
- Swim front crawl for 25 yards continuously while breathing to the side
- Swim breaststroke for 25 yards
- Swim back crawl or elementary back stroke for 25 yards
- Tread water for 1 minute
- Swim a distance of 10 feet under water
